Our Christmas

The picture documentation of our Christmas Day....

We spent the first half of the day at home with just our family. Then we headed over for the afternoon and dinner to the Braithwaits. Every one was extremely spoiled and it was a fun day. 

We are trying to "always" (as in the last 2 years that the kids have been active participants) kick off the morning with daddy reading the Christmas story. It reminds us all we are spending the day celebrating the one  unfailing and Ultimate gift.

 For several days Sadie was pretty excited about her new trick of standing on her own (as was I=) and she even took a couple steps a few times. But it seems like since Christmas she is refusing to even stand. Lil' stink.

 While Sadie didn't fully grasp the ripping open presents thing, she sure was interested in seeing what every one else was getting!

 Haha, Ryan and I had some fun playing Horse in the kitchen, but Sadie... not so much!

 Always glad to have Gigi join us for Christmas!

 Bailey, was all birthday-ed and Christmas-ed out! She had two full days of partyin'!

 Figuring out how to get into all this stuff is always the biggest chore!

 This kid never smiles! Mmmm, hmmm.

 She excused herself to give her toaster a test run.

 Just wouldn't seem like Christmas without some Husker gear from Gigi =)

 Gotta love this! Daddy loves his girl!

 If I may digress for a moment....Somebody help me please! If any one out there knows much about cameras/ photography what do I need for my flash? Is it worth the $ for an external flash or could I benefit from something like a diffuser or this thing? If by a long shot someone has some advice, please do share! You can see my dilemma with these two pics- while I do think they are both great pics!!!!
It has been way too long since we've gotten pics with Uncle Ross and Aunt Lori with the kids--- like since they had a couple of kids of their own, ha!

Someone knew how to get straight to Sadie's heart- with something to snuggle. Girl is a serious love button!
