Alpine Village

Last night we headed to the coolest free Christmas kids event around (all you have to do is make reservations). If you're local and missed out on Trinity Baptist's Alpine Village, be sure to keep it in mind for next year! This was our first year and I was pretty impressed, and more importantly, so were the kids. There were little village shops set up that the kids went in and either had an activity or came out with a goody.

We kicked it off with the candy cane shop where the kids made candy cane reindeer....
There was the candle shop, where they rolled little wax candles,
and ornament and card shops.
Photo-ops galore =)

The train was a big hit with all of them. Remember Blake? We were there with his family, and that is him standing to the right of Hannah Grace. He was pretty shy, but it was fun to get to see how much he's grown up since he's been not here every day!

There were people dressed up and telling stories, a live nativity, and a puppet show
Gingerbread shop!
Possibly the biggest hit was the "snow storm" where they loved playing in the "snow".

Watching Bennett make a snowman through the window =)
Hannah Grace was pretty excited about the rocking horse.

In  they toy shop they got to hammer a wooden spinning top together (and they took it all home with them of course)

A stop a the book shop and candy shop were squeezed in before heading to see Santa. Where Hannah told him she wanted a Princess and Bennett wanted a Snowman....
waiting to go up the elevator to the North Pole ;-)
The one big downer to this event (but for good reason) is there are no strollers allowed, so wrangling this one was a task. Here she had obviously had enough and Ryan is taking her abuse to well, ha!

Snowman for pictures or for peek-a boo....Either will do!

Miss Stacy made an entertaining snowman!
And we are out!!!
It really was a neat thing and so enchanting for these little wide eyed preschoolers!
Even if Sadie gave Ryan and I both full body work outs-- it was well worth it!

Blake has gotten TALL! I love all your pictures! We plan to take Savannah to that next year. Chris and Erin go to Trinity and Chris was telling us all about it, but unfortunately we missed out this year. Actually, Chris was the popcorn popper on Friday night!

Love all the Snow pics... come here for REAL SNOW! Why didn't you let Sadie pose in the Angel? She is so funny. All look adorable!

The snowman and angel were in two different places. When I had Hannah Grace at the angel, Ryan was off somewhere else with Sadie.

Stacey looks like Michelle Brunette in that picture don't you think?
