My Little Sickling

Bennett has been sick today with some kind of stomach bug. He has been so pitiful and clingy, but I am loving the snuggle time! This morning I went in and he had thrown up all in his crib. I took him straight to the tub, where he screamed the whole time. He was fine once I got him out and wrapped him up. I had to put him down because Maggie was crying to go out, so I set him on the couch and he didn't move a muscle. I took a picture and then after felt terribly guilty because he really did look SO awful.

And a little more chipper, but still not 100%...

After some Motrin to break his fever he felt a bit better and ran around for about an hour. After eating (and keeping down) a piece of toast he fell asleep on me on the couch. I could have laid there with him all day. I did lay him down though, and he slept for over 4 hours! Grandma Sheila was wonderful enough to stop by and stock us up on Sprite, soup, Jell-O, the works! So he has nibbled on that stuff some tonight. Ryan has been gone all day and will be late tonight with class. We miss him terribly today! It has been a much needed restful day for all of us. Bennett still has a pretty high fever tonight, but seems a little more cheerful- hopefully this will be gone soon!
