Up, Up, and Away

Wednesday night was our last night in Indianola and we spent it well!!! My parents town holds
an annual hot air balloon festival that runs all week long. It's somewhat a fair like atmosphere with fair food (we had a funnel cake for the 1st time in years, mmm!) and kiddie rides. You bring out your lawn chairs and blankets and watch around eighty hot air balloons take off and come back in over your head. It was an incredible sight! Then when it gets dark they do a "night glow" where the balloons fill the field and light up- that was really cool too! It had been such a busy day that the kids were a little edgy, but they really enjoyed it! Hannah loved watching the balloons fly over!We did take Hannah Grace on one little ride that was a "choo choo". I was wondering if she was old enough to go by herself, and the lady said "you can go with her, parents do it all the time!" Well I was glad I did- I realized it was so bumpy she would have either flown out or screamed her head off the whole time, but she LOVED it and cried when it was time to get out! I love how she is just waving at daddy in this pic =)

Haha, Bennett was getting fussy so we let him enjoy a biter biscuit in his stroller! This solved the problem, but needless to say he and our stroller were utter messes! Here is making his well loved "oooo" face! =) He is so laid back but has so much personality, we love it!

This was hilarious- We were trying to take Hannah Grace's picture in front of this giant rocket hot air balloon. She was eating those Puff things and had spilled them all over her little bench. This little boy who was walking with his dad stopped and started brushing off her spilled Puffs to sit down. It was so cute how he wanted to sit down next to her and Ryan joked about how if he wanted to get on Hannah's good side, brushing her food onto the ground was not a good way to go about it =) Kids are just too funny! The night glow- it was really hard to get a picture of all of them lit up at the same time, but it was really neat!

I am so glad we got to be there when this was going on because it really was so fun and we all thoroughly enjoyed it!
